The River Table...
Just before we bought our current home, we decided to try to build a river table that we had seen so much about online. It looked easy - why not give it a try? I can assure you that it is not as easy as you would think. What we can tell you from this failed attempt is that you should never do a deep pour epoxy resin in a hot Texas summer. The epoxy reacts as it heats too quickly (to the point it started SMOKING & we thought it would burst into flames), and therefore cracks as it hardens. We made an attempt to drill holes in it to repour once it cooled down, but we have been too busy with other projects to revisit. With that said - the failed river table sits in our shed - waiting for the day we will try again to bring it to life :) Not all DIY projects are successes!
